We celebrated New Year's Eve and the day before down in the Westminster area together. Sadly, my dad had to fly back to work, but we were happy to still have 2/3 of the family here with us. We ate at a fabulous pub, The Clarence, for the second time, walked by Parliament and Big Ben, and the following day, rode the London Eye. This was a biiig feat for me, as I do not like heights. And, this is the biggest ferris wheel in the world. My eyes were closed during what were probably some of the best look-out times, but oh well. :)
We did not stay down by the Thames River for the fireworks show at midnight; rather, we watched it from the warmth of our flat, but the neat thing was that as we watched the fireworks on TV (or, the Telly, as the Brits say), we could hear the booms and see the fireworks outside our flat just a few miles away!
The Clarence=good food and HEAT!! :)
so glad they were here
just a portion of the London Eye at night
Beautiful Westminster (and matching hats for the week--ha!)
