Christmas Eve, Bond Street Shopping, and Royal Albert Hall

On Christmas Eve, we cooked a big breakfast for everyone here in our cozy little flat, and then we set off for a walk through Hyde Park and to Bond Street for some Christmas window-shopping. We saw George F. Handel's home (maybe he wrote "The Messiah" here?), the headquarters for Vogue and Conde Nast magazines (very neat!), and then back to Westminster Abbey for an afternoon service. Then, we had dinner at an adorable little boutique restaurant in Kensington called The Pelham.

A few days before Christmas, we attended a musical event at Royal Albert Hall. This beautiful venue hosts events all year long with performances by the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Cirque du Soleil, and Paul Potts to ballets and the Cranberries group. We went to one of the Christmas events, and heard amazing Christmas music, singing, and participated in some group caroling along with 5,500 other people in the Hall!
