Our London Times: A Christmas Homecoming

Ahhh, how sweet it is to be home!! We made a trip back to America the Beautiful in early December, and while we were there, we hit up the Lone Star State, the Natural State, and the Sunshine State! Busy busy but oh so fun.

The day we landed Ashlyn picked us up and I cannot tell you how much Brian and I enjoyed gliding out of DFW in her Honda--private transportation vs. public transportation on the tube. Ah. Our sweet friends, Matt and Oksana Beard had planned a fun surprise party for us with lots of our good friends at Mattito's--couldn't ask for more--great friends and Mexican food!

We saw loads of friends, frequented NorthPark Mall, drove cars, Brian flew to Orlando for work training, I flew to Little Rock to visit my mom for a night and got to have dinner with my lifelong friend, Ruthie, went to our church, ran with my running buddy, Meredith, went to book club, had dinner with Baylor girls at La Duni, and got to spend time over lunch with my sweet co-workers from D Magazine. Not to mention, went to Starbucks 5 times in one day in order to see more friends!! haha--and I only had 2 cups of coffee. I was there for the friends, not the latte's! :) For some reason, I couldn't get some of my pics with friends to download correctly, but I'm still working on it!

We also spent a long weekend in Georgetown and Austin with Brian's family and celebrated an early Christmas together. Cynthia and Mike were able to come in from Dallas, too, so we were all there with his parents and Rusty, too. We were able to see all of the family, several friends, eat delicious meals, attend the play "Annie," and have a lot of fun together. Thank you, Cynthia and Mike, too, for letting us use your car--what a lifesaver! :) We had so much fun, and can't wait to see so many of you on this side of the pond in 2010!!
