Welcome to the City of Dreaming Spires. We traveled to this world famous university town in late August (notice our long sleeves in the summer--crazy!). It was mind boggling to know that so many legends had walked here, from CS Lewis to the more current, Harry Potter movie characters. We were able to tour the town, and have dinner with Texas friends, Clark and Abbey Elliston, so the day was full of treats.
Little-known-fact: Alice in Wonderland author Lewis Carroll wrote all about Miss Alice and her adventures with the frantic White Rabbit and Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum here in Oxford. The real-life Alice was daughter of one of the then-Oxford deans, so it was fun to imagine this childhood classic taking shape here.
We also visited the famous Eagle and Child pub. Location: favorite sipping spot of CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien. We wondered at which table they discussed Narnia's characters and Lord of the Rings.

Kambry - I love reading all about your London travels and your life in London. It looks like you and Brian are having so much fun and are making the most out of your time there. I must admit - I am a little jealous! :) Enjoy your Thanksgiving week.
