Love Never Dies

Last night, we went with our friends, Anne and Burr, to Leicester Square for a night at the theatre--with a pre-theatre dinner at London's very own Cantina Laredo (YUM!).

We saw Love Never Dies, which premiered in London early this summer, and is the much-anticipated sequel to Phantom of the Opera! I don't even have adequate words to describe it, except that my eyes were watery at the end it was so romantic, the entire theatre was so silent you could have heard a pin drop, and I think everyone watching got closer and closer to the edge of their seats it was so gripping-- the story was so beautiful and the vocals of this original cast were absolutely breathtaking. Here is a clip about it I found on-line...

Love Never Dies continues the story of the Phantom Of The Opera, who has moved from his lair in the Paris Opera House to haunt the fairgrounds of Coney Island, far across the Atlantic Ocean.

Set 10 years after the
mysterious disappearance of the Phantom from Paris, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new show is a rollercoaster ride of obsession and intrigue in which music and memory can play cruel tricks and the famous masked murderer sets out to prove that Love Never Dies.

Love Never Dies stars
Ramin Karimloo, who became London’s youngest Phantom when he took on the iconic role at Her Majesty’s theatre in 2007. The Iranian-born Canadian has also played Raoul in Lloyd Webber’s most famous musical and Christine’s Father in the Joel Schumacher-directed film adaptation.

Sierra Boggess, who plays Christine in Love Never Dies, also returns to a character she played in the original, having created the part for Phantom – The Las Vegas Spectacular.
