For our first day trip, we chose to visit Bath. Located in the southern part of the Cotswolds, this is one of the prettiest and most romantic places in all of England. We stayed at an adorable B&B, Villa Claudia, owned by a sweet couple who couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating to these two Americans who were eager for some fresh air and a break from our corporate flat (we went in late June before we moved to our current flat).
Highlights: Jane Austen museum, seeing Jane Austen's once home, Roman Bath tour, Sunday service at Bath Abbey, breakfast at Villa Claudia, touring the city, enjoying the beautiful parks, sleeping in air conditioning, and seeing the Royal Crescent.
Bath hosts a famous Christmas Market this winter, so I'm hoping to make it there for a day or so! Enjoy the pics!
