A Farewell to Friends

According to English author C.S. Lewis, "Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, 'What! You too? I thought I was the only one.'"

And that's exactly how it was when I met my lovely friend, Rita. After a 3 plus-hour marathon Thai lunch this summer, "fun" in London was redefined for me and we gained the best neighbors ever just around the corner in the Hans. A fellow wordsmith, book lover, baker, coffee addict, and England enthusiast, we had more fun than I could have ever imagined.
At The Ark, a cozy Notting Hill favorite, after enjoying Tuscan cuisine

So, as she and Michael and Sophie-the-Wonder-Beagle make their new home in the U.S., we will keep the London light burning bright for their next visit. The best part: now they're in Big D, and we will be someday, too. Let the fun continue.
