Hear Ye, Hear Ye

News updates from our side of the world:

A general election has been called in England! The Brits don't have an exact time table to elect their new Prime Minister or MPs (members of Parliament), so when they feel like it's time, they call an election. They did last week, so we will be here to witness what this is all about. Should be very interesting. Gordon Brown with the Labor Party or George Cameron for the Conservatives? Elections to be held May 6. The day after Brian turns 29.

Another point of interest on the front pages: supposedly the Royal diary has two dates mysteriously blocked off in June. Of course every tabloid on this side of the Atlantic assumes or has already decided that it is to announce and celebrate the engagement of William and Kate. Now, that really would be exciting. I guess we shall see!
