On Monday's bank holiday, Brian and I set off for a 11.5-mile hike throughout the region of East Sussex, southeast of London and only about 10 miles from the sea. This circular hike took us through fields of English spring bluebells, pretty woods, and passed by Bodiam Castle, a quintessential castle fortress from the 1300s built by a knight. We packed snacks, stopped at the recommended pub for a drink in the back garden, and enjoyed views along the way, as well as some time spent taking breaks and sitting in the soft grass.
